Random Passage 6

Random Passage 6

Chores like washing and drying clothes must have been hard work 400 years ago.  They had to make their own soap, heat the water, wash the clothes by hand and hang it out to dry.  Electricity has certainly made a difference to our lives.  Our generations takes electricity for granted and it's only when the power goes off that we realize how much we depend on it.

Here in Newfoundland and Labrador, many people still hang their clothes out to dry and I continue to photograph clotheslines.  In fact, I am planning a Clotheslines Series this Fall.
