Holyrood - Icy Harbour

I started a new album on my Holyrood Page (https://www.facebook.com/lane.holyrood) in which I am sharing photos of ice in Holyrood Harbour. Many years there is no ice at all while in others there is plenty of ice.  I started this album with photos of a little iceberg in the harbour in April 2007. Then I started sharing photos from the 1980s and 1990s.

Southern Harbour

I have only driven down the road to Southern Harbour a couple of times and I am starting this new album with photos from 2006. It was a beautiful afternoon and I decided to take a few photos of the boats in the harbour.

Deer Lake









Deer Lake

I have been to Deer Lake many times over the years and realized that I don't have a Deer Lake album except for the Nicholsville Bridge. Caplin Were In










Caplin Are In - July 18, 2009

When caplin are rolling on the beach (or even swimming near the beach) many people flock to get a few to eat and/or a few to put on their gardens. There is usually a guy with a seine net that helps fill everyones' buuckets. On July 18, 2009 I photographed a few of the people on a beach in Holyrood and I created an album in which I will share them. Burnside

I have been adding photos to my Burnside 2 album over the last couple of days with photos from 1996 and 2021. I have a connection to this little community - it is where my grandparents were from (actually Salvage and Burnside) and we used to visit when we were kids.
