Boulangerie Patisserie des Graves

Next door to our hotel in St. Pierre there was a great bakery with some of the best desserts! We went there several times and brought home pastries and bread, all of which were delicious. I'll share these in my St. Pierre Facebook Album later, but I thought you may enjoy seeing the photos I took inside. It's too bad I can't share the smell!

St. Pierre

St. Pierre

I have visited St. Pierre a couple of times - 1981 and 1999 and will share the photos I took in those years in my NEW St. Pierre Album that I started today.

Even though St. Pierre and Miquelon is only 20 km from the Island of Newfoundland, it is still a part of France. From Newfoundland and Labrador, you can visit France for a couple of days, then return to Canada. It's interesting because when you are there, even though the scenery is the same as in Newfoundland, everything else is France. :)

Eastern Chipmunks

Eastern Chipmunks

This summer, there are LOTS of chipmunks around our property and they are enjoying the sunflower seeds and peanuts that we put out for them every day. They are tiny, friendly, and cute and it is fun to feed them by hand. We are careful because there are 3 cats in the neighbourhood. :)

Brigus South

Brigus South

This morning, I started a NEW Facebook in which I will add photos taken in Brigus South over the years. I started with the oldest photos from 1981. People familiar with the area will see changes in the community after 42 years.
