It was a beautiful June day in 2003 when I photographed a photogenic iceberg in Upper Island Cove. I stayed a few hours and took photos of several boats passing by. It is getting near Iceberg Season around here and, since I am updating my Icebergs Albums, I will continue sharing photos of icebergs from past years. :)

I will share photos of Lupines to my most recent Lupines Facebook Album over the next few days. I really like lupines and, when I moved to Holyrood over 40 years ago, I collected seeds from lupines growing wild around the town. I threw the seeds all over my yard and after 2 years, I had lots of beautiful flowers growing in my yard. When I moved into my new house, I took seeds with me and I have a couple of patches in my yard now.

Main Beach Pond
It wasn't sunny, but it was 8°C and little wind, making it a nice Spring day for a hike to Main Beach Pond. After all the rain we had a couple of weeks ago, parts of the trail have been washed away making it difficult to walk. I was amazed that there was still quite a bit of snow on the trail after it levelled off. Someone built another bridge across the brook, but I think the heavy rains moved it sideways. Finally, the ice on the pond is melting!It was a nice hike that was refreshing and quiet!
