Iceberg 1

It was a dark, cloudy day but we decided to take a trip to Fortune Harbour in Notre Dame Bay regardless. I anticipated that we might get a few photos of the harbour draped in fog. As we passed Point of Bay, I saw an iceberg behind one of the islands, and we stopped to photograph it for a while then continued on. On our return, the iceberg appeared to have moved a little and we had a better view. A gentleman saw us taking photos and asked if we would like him to take us out to the iceberg in his boat. Of course we accepted and the photos over the next couple of days were taken on that trip. Note how the shape of the iceberg changes as we go around it.
This was the only iceberg I saw all summer but I know that there were many around the island of Newfoundland. If you photographed an iceberg and would like to share your photos with school students around the world, feel free to send them to mqpphotos@gmail.com.
