Pinware, Labrador

Yesterday I shared three images of a beach in Labrador. I think the town is called Pinware, located at the mouth of the mighty Pinware River. As well, for some reason, the link to Labrador sites sent people to Mobile on the Irish Loop. I apologize for that. The correct link is: http://lanephotography.com/labrador.htm.

This morning I am sharing three additional photos that I took in this tiny community. The first shows boats pulled up on a grassy area not too far from the sandy beach. The second image shows the community wharf with a fishing boat. I really liked the "teepee" shape of the logs that I assume were stacked this way to facilitate drying.

Good morning Bruce!
I always look forward to your picture blog of the day. This sure is an interesting way of seeing life on the east coast! Those "teepees" today were interesting! Thanks! :)

Thanks for the positive feedback. Several people commented on the teepee log pile.

I normally don't comment much on my Blog, but starting tomorrow I will encourage people to share their comments/stories there if they wish.

July 2007 we visited Labrador. We drive the South Coastal Drive, across the bridge towards Red Bay. We do have interesting pictures.
Labrador and NFL are the most beautoful parts we've seen during 10 Canada trips.
You pictures are highlights !
Thanks very much

I think that is a cool idea! There are several blogs that I follow and it is always interesting reading the comments left behind. I find it particularly interesing as I have never been to the east coast. I keep thinking one day I would like to see Pier 21 where my parents landed in Feb. of '51. Keep up the good work, I have no doubt that many others do enjoy the comments and memories from your area! :)
