Florence, Italy 6
We left the Piazza dell Signoria and headed towards the Ponte Vecchio,
an old bridge that crosses the Arno River. Along the way I
photographed several more statues as well as a few artists selling
paintings. The street alongside the river was open to traffic,
unlike most of the other streets we'd walked since arriving in Florence.
As a result, people had to walk along the sidewalk, which, as you can
imagine, was very crowded. I tried to stop a couple of times to make
photos, but I was pushed along by the river of people. When our tour
guide finally stopped I was able to take a couple of pictures of the river
flanked by buildings.
