Sheep 2

Sheep 2

The first photo this morning was taken near Cape Pine Lighthouse which is located on the south-eastern tip of the Avalon Peninsula. I used to visit this area on a yearly basis until there was a sharp decline in the caribou herd that migrated there each spring and summer. In this image I liked the wide-open space, narrow gravel road, and the lone sheep eating the little bit of grass that was growing just outside the gate.

The other photos show healthy looking sheep in Conception Bay South. I know that the island of Newfoundland has its own species of sheep, but I don't know if any of those I have shared represent that specie or not.

Photos of the Day are for sale as stock photographs
and photographic enlargements.
They can also be purchased as slide shows
and/or wallpapers/screensavers.
