Heart's Content

Heart's Content

Heart's Content, located in Trinity Bay, has a rich history dating back to John Guy's visit in 1615. It has become known around the world because it was chosen as the landing point for the first Trans-Atlantic cable in 1866. The first photo shows the Cable Museum, a provincial Historic Site. I've uploaded more images related to this historical occasion to my Blog today. You will still find a few fishing stages as well as other historical buildings in the community today.

The picturesque community also has a lighthouse and you can find several images of it on my Blog at: http://kbrucelane.blogspot.com/search?q=heart%27+content

Photos of the Day are for sale as stock photographs
and photographic enlargements.
They can also be purchased as slide shows
