Croatia 2
As the Brilliance of the Seas docked in Dubrovnik, Croatia I made photos of the city from our tenth deck balcony. Several people have been asking about our cruise and one of the questions is if it was worth paying extra for a balcony. To be honest, we asked the same questions before booking and most people advised us NOT to get a balcony because they didn't spend much time on it when they cruised. Only a few advised us to get a room with a balcony.
We are glad we decided to book a room with a balcony especially when sailing in and out of the various ports. In Venice we had a fantastic view as we did in Dubrovnik.
The first few photos this morning show scenes of the houses in the newer part of Dubrovnik. Imagine living so close to the Adriatic Sea with warm water and beautiful weather. I was amazed at the boat traffic leaving the harbour, many of them filled with tourists.
Once the ship had docked, we boarded a bus for a tour of the old city and the last 4 photos show taken near the entrance to the old town. Over the next couple of days, I plan to share images taken in this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Photos of the Day are for sale as stock photographs
