Croatia 3

Croatia 3

As you can see from today's images, the streets of Dubrovnik were pretty busy when we visited the historical city in June. Royal Caribbean's Brilliance of the Seas was the only cruise ship in port that day but there were still several groups of tourists walking around the city. The young lady holding a sign with the number 22 was our tour guide. She spoke into a microphone and the people in her group could hear the information she was giving. Each person in the group wore a sticker with the number 22 which allowed them to get back on the bus for the rest of the tour. Our guide told us that one time 12 cruise ships arrived on the same day which doubled the population of the city of 50 000. The city was so crowded that they decided to limit the number of ships that can come to port on any one day. Based on the number of people in Dubrovnik during my visit, I am glad I wasn't there then.

The first photo shows a historical church near the entrance to the old city. Several people tried to cool off by wetting their heads in the fountain. A young lady tried to make photos but you can see she had to wait for people to pass by. The rest of the photos show people walking around the streets.

Photos of the Day are for sale as stock photographs
and photographic enlargements.
They can also be purchased as slide shows
and/or wallpapers/screensavers.
