In the summer of 1982, we visited the Trinity/Trouty area and took a sailboat tour to photograph whales. While it wasn't a great day for whale watching (we saw 1 minke whale only) it was a great day for a sailboat trip on Trinity Bay. I decided to share photos taken after we got off the sailboat and were taken to Trouty in a small Zodiak.
As you can see from the photos, it wasn't a large sailboat but there were 5 or 6 of us on the tour. That was the first time I had ever been on a sailboat and was interested in how they could actually navigate the boat into the wind. I also liked the peace and quiet; all that could be heard was the flapping of the sails and the wind blowing against the masts.
The first photo has been published in brochures and used in tourism slide shows, but this is the first time I have shared the other images with anyone but friends and relatives.
