Breakwater Construction

In 1999, the breakwater in Holyrood was being constructed.  I visited the site a couple of times during the construction and took a few photos which I have placed in a Facebook album.  It was a fairly big job and I thought some of you may be interested in these historical photos.

Clotheslines

Clotheslines

I am not sure when I started to photograph clotheslines but it was early in my photographic journey.  Everywhere I go, I stop to photograph lines of clothes hanging out to dry.  I enjoy seeing the clothes blowing in the wind and drying free of charge.

I was once asked by an interviewer if I had a clothesline and when I told her that I had two and a moose got its antlers caught up and broke off both poles (4" x 4") and hauled it away.  Later I tried a small clothes rack, but after the first night, it was toppled over by a moose.  I live in the country, but do not have a clothesline because of wildlife.  :)

Dolphins

Dolphins

Most years while in Florida, we rented a pontoon boat and spent the day on the back waters of Bonita Beach.  One of the highlights of the trip was seeing dolphins.  When the dolphins come up for air it is fairly easy to get a photo of their fins.  However, you have to be alert and spot them as soon as the fin comes out of the water.  Occasionally they will jump entirely out of the water, but those shots are hard to get.

The people in the boat above were looking for dolphins but were missing them completely because they were looking in the wrong direction.  I am sure it happened to me as well from time to time.  However, I was lucky enough to get lots of photos.

I have photographed fences for many years and have many images of them from all around the province.  There are many types and styles and I photograph the ones that strike my fancy.

Photo Art

Photo Art

Blueberries

Blueberries

If you like blueberries, this is the time of the year to pick them.  The delicious berries grow wild around here and this year, most of the berries are ripe and big!  Not only are they tasty - they are also good for you!!
