St. Anthony
A few people have asked about the three photographers I mentioned a couple of days ago. Every summer for the past 10 years my Dad, brothers (and sometimes a nephew) and I go on a photo trip somewhere on the island of Newfoundland. This year we chose to go to L'Anse aux Meadows and I have been sharing images taken on that trip for the past week or so.
It was late in the evening when we arrived in St. Anthony and we didn't have much time to make photos before it got dark. I managed to make a few images before we settled into our lodgings and get something to eat.
Today's photos were taken looking across the harbour as the sun was beginning to set. I have mentioned in previous posts that I often make images with my wide angle lens that includes mostly sky with just a sliver of land. As I was making photos that evening I tried that technique and liked the result. Even though the buildings and cliffs are diminished in the image, you can get a "feel" for the landscape and harbour.
