A cooper at Ross Farm was making a wooden barrel when I visited the cooperage. It was interesting to watch him using specialized tools to put finishing touches on the barrel he was making.
I photographed the process inside the cooperage without using a flash. This was a challenge because there was a window directly behind the cooper and another to the side. I knew that the window in the background would be bright, but there were several people standing around watching the process so the position I could shoot from was very limited.
I uploaded ten photos from this series to: http://lanephotography.com/ross_farm/making_wooden_barrels/making_wooden_barrels.htm
