The Matthew 3, 1997
Queen Elizabeth II, Brian Tobin, Sheila Copps, other dignitaries as well as thousands of people from across Newfoundland and Labrador braved the cold, wet weather to watch the Matthew arrive in Bonavista after a trip across the North Atlantic that took nearly 3 months. They were also treated to local musicians including a group from Fogo Island and Sandy Morris from St. John's.
