Alligators

Alligators

It is hard for people from northern climes to imagine alligators living among human beings, however that's exactly what happens at Citrus Park in Bonita Springs, Florida. It is commonplace to see alligators at nearly every pond and in every canal.  They are interesting creatures and I have spent a fair amount of time observing, and photographing them.

The alligators in today's photos are fairly small the first was around 3 feet (1 m) in length. The second was around 4 - 5 feet (1.5 m) Unless you are familiar with the plants, there is really no way of guessing its size from the photos.
