Fox Cove - Mortier

Fox Cove - Mortier

It was 3 years ago that we made a photo trip to the Burin Peninsula and it was so foggy that we didn't see much at all.  We drove through some communities without seeing a house.  This year we decided to try it again and we couldn't have chosen a better day.  Once we got off the Avalon, it cleared up and we had clear blue skies and temperatures in the mid-high 20s all day (80s in Fahrenheit).

Not too far from Marystown we saw a dead moose on the side of the highway.  The raven standing on the body didn't move no matter how close the three photographers got to it.  It was like it had found a GOOD meal and nothing was going to take it from him.

One of our first stops was Fox Cove Mortier, small communities on the first side road we saw in the Burin area.  These towns were quiet and scenic.  We walked along the roads making photos of houses, fishing stages and boats and you are viewing several of them on my Blog today.
