Labadee is a private area of Haiti that is leased to Royal Caribbean
International. About thirty passengers went on the Haitian Cultural Tour and
many others chose to stay near the ship to take part in activities on the
beaches and on the water. There were lots of other things to do in the area,
but I don't have images of them. This morning I've uploaded photos of people participating in several activities and
relaxing on the beach.
Beautiful photos Bruce. We were in Labadee a little over a year ago... It has brought back many memories of this very interesting stop on our cruise. It was one of the more peaceful and scenic places on our journey. Now I wish we had taken the Haitian Cultural Tour. We did walk through, but not quite the same as what your photos show.
Thanks for the positive comment. The Haitian Cultural Tour took place in a little village about a 15 minute boat ride from the cruise ship. It was interesting and the best tour we did on our cruise. I would recommend it.
