The iceberg depicted in today's photos was grounded along the shore near Bay Bulls in May, 2002. It wasn't a huge iceberg, but it was close to shore and relatively easy to photograph. There were a lot of clouds so the light reflecting off the iceberg was constantly changing making it difficult to avoid images with a lot of contrast (bright and dark parts in the same frame).
