For the next 26 days or so I plan to share photos that have an A-Z theme - starting with Alders today.
Alders grow wild all around the island of Newfoundland and even though they are often considered a weed species, they are actually good for the environment. They grow well here on the Avalon Peninsula and there are lots of them on my property, some of which are 10-12 feet high.
