Fortune Harbour is a picturesque community that seems to be surviving despite the lack of a vibrant cod fishery.
The two photos this morning show fishing stages and the terrain with a few houses. There were only a few boats around in early morning. I did see a mussel farm in a sheltered part of the harbour and wondered if aquaculture was keeping this area economically feasible. I didn't see much evidence of a tourism industry (whale, iceberg tours, etc) but they certainly have beautiful scenery.
Leaving today - back on August 24.
