Whooping Cranes

Whooping Cranes

I photographed whooping cranes in the Calgary Zoo in 2010.  These were the only members of this rare specie of bird that I have ever seen.  There are only an estimated 600 whooping cranes left in the wild, and since they don't come to Newfoundland and Labrador (yet), I doubt that I will ever see another.

I have created a Facebook album where you can view my photos of this beautiful bird and you can find it here - https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10162178083090329&type=3
