When I take a photo of part of a subject or from a different angle, I call it abstract. There are many definitions, of Abstract Photography online (feel free to check them out) but I am including photos that don't really show the full subjects and often show a variety of shapes and textures.
I have many Minimalist Albums on my Facebook Page and I consider most of those to be abstract photos as well.
