Ava Maria
On May 3, 2008 I shared
photos of internationally known Romanian sculptor, Marton Varo, working on a
sculpture of the Madonna. The piece was part of a much larger work that was to
be mounted on the front of the church in the town. I was able to photograph the final sculpture during a visit to
this community in 2015.
Today I have uploaded a
few photos of the artist at work as well as a few of the church with the final
sculpture mounted to the building.
