Painted Bunting 2

Painted Bunting 2

Today I decided to share a few more photos of painted buntings, including a couple of a female which is predominantly greenish yellow.  It is difficult to photograph these birds because even the slightest sound or movement scares them away.  Then it takes several minutes before they get the nerve to come back.

You can view 30 photos of these birds on my web site at: http://www.lanephotography.com/birds/painted_bunting/painted_bunting_01.htm

I have been using The Cornell Lab of Ornithology – All about Birds site to  help identify birds.  You can check their entry on the painted bunting at: http://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Painted_Bunting/id

Feel free to share today's photos with family and friends.
