Crested Caracara
I am
continuing with the Birds Theme again
today!
The
caracara is a large eagle that ranges from the southern US states to South
America. The Cornell Lab of Ornithology describes it as a “tropical falcon
version of a vulture”. http://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Crested_Caracara/id
They
are large birds and I was lucky to photograph a couple during my visits to
Southwest Florida.
