Boat-Tailed Grackle

Boat-Tailed Grackle

During one of my trips to Florida I first photographed a brown bird then a black bird flew in as well.  I thought it was two different species, however, when I visited Cornell Labe of Orinthology’s All About Birds site ( http://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Boat-tailed_Grackle/id) I discovered that the two birds shown today are female and male boat-tailed grackles.

Boat-tailed grackles are common birds all around Florida  and the Gulf Coast.

Feel free to share with family and friends.
