A few people wondered what the "white things" were in one of the photos I shared on November 2. In case others wondered what it was, I am sharing images of a variety of cottongrass. These wildflowers grow on boggy areas in the higher elevations along the trails I follow. I made these photos on my hike back home that day.
By observing the photos you can see that it was windy, which made it difficult to get a crisp focus because of the motion of the plants. Today's photos were taken with my 70-300 mm lens at maximum zoom.
