Boats

I am sharing three photos of the same boat today, each taken with a different lens. The first photo shows an extreme wide-angle view taken with a fish-eye lens. Notice the curved horizon and how everything from the front of the boat to the land in the background is in focus despite how close I am to the bow.

The second image was taken with a wide-angle lens. Again, everything is in focus, but the exaggerated curves aren't as extreme.

The third was taken further back and shows a different view of the boat - more "normal" for most people.

The photos today illustrate, like the Windows photos a couple of days ago, how I approach a photographic subject and then make decisions about choice of lens and composition during the photo shoot. I seldom take one photograph of any subject.

I have a couple of Boats Galleries on line. Feel free to check them out!
