Great Egret (White Heron)

Today I am sharing close-up photos of a white heron (also known as a great egret) that I photographed in Florida last year.

I liked the way light seemed to be passing through this bird's beak. The shape of the beak helps it be a successful hunter.

Both images this morning were cropped from larger photos, but I wanted to share the colourful beaks so I eliminated most of the backgrounds.

Votes still coming in on the two photos I sent yesterday so I will give results tomorrow. Some interesting comments to share as well.
