Moose are very common around the island of Newfoundland and many people (including me) will stop along the highway to try and capture a photo or two.
Keep in mind that to get a good close-up photo of a moose you really need a good zoom on your camera. I have seen people move too close to these large animals. They are wild and very unpredictable.
