I have visited Upper Island Cove several times and am sharing photos in my Facebook Album. To be honest the community borders the town of Bishop's Cove and I am never certain where one ends and the other begins, so you may notice photos that are not actually in Upper Island Cove. I photographed the Remembrance Day Ceremony in Holyrood, in 2011 and have started a new album on my Holyrood Page. A friend gave me a laburnum tree several years ago and it produces beautiful flowers in early summer. They usually bloom along with my rhododendron and spirea and add colour to my yard.

When we moved into our house 17 years ago, a friend brought me 2 tiny lilac trees that I planted in my yard. Every year I enjoy the beautiful blooms and the heavenly aroma. I also enjoy taking pictures of the butterflies, bees, and other insects that visit them. I am sharing photos from this year to my Lilacs 2 Facebook Album on my Flowers and Plants Page.
