I found this "spooky tree" while walking in the woods around my house. It said "Halloween Tree" to me and I took 2 photos with my phone (iPhone 4s at that time).The tree is similar to the ghost decorations I've seen around town.

Just in time for Halloween! I have photographed many pumpkins over the years and decided to share a few today. I grew pumpkins one year, but my gardens are so small that the pumpkins needed too much space for the 2 pumpkins that grew. Today's photos were taken in Taylor's Pumpkin Patch in Foxtrap.

It is too late this year to photograph bees, however, it is a good time to reflect on the number of bees around this part of Holyrood throughout the summer. When dandelions appeared this spring, I didn't see many bumblebees around at all. I saw the first large bees around the time the Dandelions were just about finished blooming. Then a few smaller bees started visiting the few dandelions that were left. When the wild roses started to bloom, there were a few more bees, but not a lot. I continued to photograph them into the fall when they constantly visited the sunflowers in my yard. Overall, I would say that there were fewer bees this summer in my yard.

A few days ago, I started a new Bay de Verde album in Facebook and have been adding photos to it daily. The photos I have uploaded so far are from 2003 when I made at least 2 trips to this scenic community. The fish plant in the community was burned a few years ago and has been replaced.

It was only last night that I discovered that I didn't have a Facebook album for photos of Aquaforte on the Southern Shore along the Irish Loop. The photos in the album were taken nearly 20 years ago, so I suspect it has changed a lot since then.

Every winter I have spent in Florida has been great for photographing a variety of birds. I have very many photos of American anhingas as they eat fish or dry their feathers after eating. I learned very quickly that if you approach them very slowly, they don't fly away and cooperate by posing in a variety of different positions.
