Today's photos were taken in 1997 in Holyrood.  I had passed this house many times, but for some reason stopped to photograph the house and barn and I was glad I did because it was torn down shortly afterward.  There are a couple of houses on the land now.  I have since heard that this house was haunted and, to be honest, I id have weird feelings as I approached it.  So much so, that I would only venture to the driveway.

Gone Forever 3

Today's photos were taken in the summer of 1997 in Brigus. To be more specific, it is called Frog Marsh, and is located at the end of the road.  I first photographed these old buildings in the early 80s and have many images as it continued to deteriorate.  Believe it or not, there were animals in the barn when I took these photos.

Today's photos were taken in 2007 in Holyrood.  There were three barns/sheds on this property back then, but today only one remains.  The two shown here are gone forever. I have included "painted" versions as well.  The image with the vegetable gardens was taken in the mid-80s.

Gone Forever

Gone Forever

Today's photos were taken on an early morning in 1997 and depict a house and barns that I know are gone forever. The large barn was torn down several years ago and the yellow house has been replaced with a modern home.  I photographed both these buildings a few times and will show comparison shots at a later date.

Today's photos were taken in Chapel's Cove in 1997 and none of the subjects depicted - the boats, barns, and house are gone forever. I have been scanning slides over the past week and have many interesting images to share over the next while.

Snowbirds

Snowbirds

I have been scanning slides from 1997 including these images of the Snowbirds performing over Bonavista on June 25, 1997.  This performance was part of the John Cabot celebrations of the 500th anniversary of the discovery of the island of Newfoundland.
