Northern Gannets
2
In order
to capture gannets as they flew in for a landing among the many birds on Bird
Rock in Cape St. Mary’s, I chose one bird and followed it as it flew towards its
landing site.
Often, the winds weren’t exactly right and the bird flew off and circled to make
another attempt. As the bird neared its nesting site, it spread its wings and
lowered its feet and tail feathers and dropped onto the site.
Feel free to share with family and friends.
