Flower, Nova Scotia

I've had these photos ready since mid-August. The photos were taken in Nova Scotia and show three stages of a flower as it opens. This reminds me plants we have here in Newfoundland and Labrador, but is much bigger.

Once again, I ask if anyone on my list is able to identify this flower for me.

The wild flower you photographed is called Queen Ann's Lace. When it is fully bloomed, if you look closely, you will see a tiny dark red flower right in the middle. It's my favorite wild flower.
