Thunder Falls, located a few miles west of Grand Falls-Windsor, is one of the best swimming holes around the island of Newfoundland. "The Landing" is a great place for kids and families to swim. As you walk farther along the trail you will see First Falls and a few minutes later you will arrive at Second Falls, a great place to swim, and if you are brave enough, to jump off the cliffs.
In the late 80s or early 90s, the name was changed to Thunder Brook, however, most locals still call it Leech Brook! :)
