Fortress of Louisbourg 21


On the way to purchase the bread, we stopped in the forge where two guys were working inside.    These guys have one of the hardest jobs at the historic site.

We purchased 3 loaves of bread and have to say that it was excellent!!  If you plan to visit the Fortress of Louisbourg, plan on buying some bread!   By the way - they have recipes for the 18th-century bread on their website.  https://www.pc.gc.ca/en/culture/gourmand-gourmet/recette-recipe60
