Red Squirrels

I photographed this squirrel in my yard a couple of days ago. As you can imagine, they have no fear of us at all and I believe they actually know that we are the ones feeding them. There are at least 6 that visit us daily and thay will all take peanuts from our hands. A couple are so anxious when they see us that they run to the edge of branches and look out towards us waiting for a peanut. When they get peanuts in a shell, they take it and run into the woods. I wonder if they hide them, or eat them in peace and quiet. It is fun to watch!

Sunflowers

Last year, even though I didn't plant any sunflowers in my yard, I had around a dozen plants grow and bloom in my vegetable beds. I enjoyed having them and photographed their beautiful blooms until a hurrican knocked them to the ground. In the fall, I dug a garden around 4 x 4 feet, and this spring planted around 200 seeds in it. Two grew!! However, thanks to the blue jays or crows, I now have around a dozen sunflowers growing among my potatoes and carrots. So far only one has bloomed, but several others are getting close. I will add photos to this album over the next while.

Gondolas








Gondolas

While I photographed many gondolas during my stay in Venice, I didn't take a ride in one. I just didn't get to it because there was so much to photograph as I walked around the old Italian city. :)

There are quite a few of my brothers when we used to do Photo Trips together along with our Dad who didn't take many photos, but always enjoyed our "Man Trips" as he called them!

Atlantic Puffins








Atlantic Puffins

I decided to redo my Atlantic Puffins album on Facebook. The original was uploaded in 2018 and the photos were very small. I think the larger images I am sharing now will give viewers a better idea of just how beautiful this bird really is. I know people who have travelled to this province just to capture images of them, among other birds and wildlife. 

I was more than lucky to have photographed them back in 2004, and am happy to share them with you again!

I have been photographing old houses since I purchased my first 35 mm camera in 1970 and have quite the collection. Many of the houses are gone now, and many have been renovated and saved.
