Today, the photos take us back to the 1980’s to the town of Chapel’s Cove, Conception Bay.  The barns and sheds in the last 3 images are all gone now.  The barns in the first two photos are still standing but has changed significantly since I took them.. 

 

I am currently updating my Chapel’s Cove Gallery and will let you know when it is complete.

Moose

Moose

 

This young bull has been a frequent visitor to my yard since early spring.  Yesterday I opened my back door to see this big, healthy moose standing nearby.  I surprised it and it moved into nearby bushes and started to eat.  I made a few photos before it disappeared into the forest.

 
He's here so often I am thinking about giving him a name. Any suggestions?

Avondale

Avondale

 

Avondale is a small community located about 10 km (6 miles) from my home and I have visited the town many times over the 34 years I have lived in Holyrood.

 

I am in the process of redesigning my Avondale Gallery and thought you might enjoy a few photos, taken in 2001.  As you can see, the church is the largest building in the area and dominates the different views.  I photographed the tepee off a side road in the town.  I haven’t seen it on recent visits.
