Ferryland Lighthouse
Picnics - 2003
In August of 2003 I was surprised to see two young women serving
picnics at the Ferryland Lighthouse. I made photos of them standing near their
cart and also photographed one of them serving a picnic to a group of people.
Today, 13 years later, the business has expanded quite a bit.
The last time I was out there, the lighthouse had been transformed into a cafe
and instead of 3 people picnicking, there were many people.
I am not certain that the same people
own the business, but I commend the two young women for having a vision for a
good business and have seen it through. Who would think that you could have a
business selling picnics on the cliffs of Ferryland next to the lighthouse?
