Long Cove

Long Cove

This morning, I started a new album featuring photos of Long Cove, located along the Osprey Trail on the Isthmus of the Avalon. I am starting the album with photos taken during a visit in 2003 and will end the album in a few days w ith photos from 2021.

You can follow the album on my Communities and Culture Page here -  https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.545437924252444&type=3

Long Cove

Long Cove

Long Cove is another scenic community located in Trinity Bay along the Osprey Trail. When I was there in 2003, I made photos around the town as well as a few on a trail that led me to a beautiful area near the ocean. Like the photos of the other communities in this area, they are a combination of images taken with two cameras.

You can see 27 photos on my NEW Long Cove Gallery at: http://www.lanephotography.com/osprey-trail/long-cove/long-cove.htm

Feel free to share today's photos with family and friends.

Long Cove

Long Cove is located on the Osprey Trail in Trinity Bay. It is approximately an hour drive from my home so I get a chance to visit the area fairly often. If you decide to take a trip to Long Cove, I would suggest that you take a walk along the trail which takes you along the shoreline. The red rock structures are interesting.

I hope you have been enjoying the virtual tours of many communities in our beautiful province. You may have noticed that the photos have been approximately 20% larger and I assume you are also enjoying the increase in size. However, a couple of people have dropped out of my Photo of the Day because the files now take a little longer to download.

Long Cove

Recently I have been sending photos of the plants and animals I have been photographing in the forest behind my house. I hope you aren't tiring of them. I went back to pick bakeapples yesterday, but it rained the entire time and I had to give it up. It was not too comfortable walking back when I was soaked through to the skin.

It is raining again today and is not forecast to clear until Thursday. I am planning a photo trip on Thursday and Friday so I will not be sending my Photo of the Day. Hopefully, I'll have a few new photos to share when I get back.

Long Cove is a small community on the Osprey Trail and they have a trail that takes you out to the shores of Trinity Bay. The red rocks jutting into the sea make interesting photos. You may be lucky enough for a fishing boat to go by adding to the scene. :)
