Baccalieu Trail 5
Though I have been to this beach many times in the past, I had never noticed the waterfall on the shoreline. We didn't spend much time on that beach and drove a little further through the community looking for a better view of the iceberg. On one side road, I made a few images of inuksuk that appeared to be overlooking the bay.

St. Lewis
St. Lewis
I've only been to the south coast of Labrador on one occasion and photographed several towns including St. Lewis where today's photos were taken. It was a dull overcast day in the "Big Land" so I didn't get as many photos as I would have liked.
The first photo shows three inuksuk welcoming visitors to the town. I hadn't seen an animal inuksuk before so these three caught my attention. I altered this image using the tools in Picasa 3. I've uploaded the original to my Blog so you can see the difference.
The boats and fishing stages are common photographic subjects found in Labrador as well as on the island Newfoundland.

Inuksuk, Cape Spear

On July 15, 2005 I visited Cape Spear in the early morning to capture the sunrise. While walking around the cape, I saw two inuksuk that someone had built near the edge of the cliffs. I stopped to photograph them with the sun rising in the background. These photos were taken around 6:30 am.Today's photos certainly demonstrate my theme - EVERYTHING'S A PICTURE.
