Fisherman, Petty Harbour

In 1982, I visited Petty Harbour and photographed this man "gutting" cod.  Little did I realize that the cod fishery would soon be closed for 30 years.

A photo is a "Slice of Time" and this one shows 1/60th of a second in the history of Petty Harbour and this man.  He wasn't aware that I was taking his photo, though he was aware of me taking pictures.  This photo was taken nearly 40 years ago and serves as photo record of that moment in time.
