On one of my early fall walks I took some time to photograph mushrooms along the trail. I am sharing three photos that were growing a few inches apart. The first two images show a small orange mushroom (2 inches) that actually reminded me of an orange when shooting a closer view.
The second photo shows a similar mushroom, but with a much different shape. I assume they are the same species.
Photographing mushrooms is a messy job because many grow in damp areas.
