Iceberg







Iceberg

In late July 2009, my father, brother, and nephew were driving back to Grand Falls-Windsor from a photo trip to Fortune Harbour. We stopped to take a few photos of an iceberg in the bay. A guy called out and asked if we wanted to go out in his boat, and we certainly took advantage of his kind offer. My dad stayed in the car as we set out to photograph an iceberg on a dull summer day!

St. Lunaire-Griquet






St. Lunaire-Griquet

This little town is located on the tip of the Great Northern Peninsula and I am starting this new album with photos taken during a trip in 2010. It was a dull morning, but I managed to find quite a few photos. I was especially pleased with the colourful blue and orange boat!!

St. Michaels











St. Michaels

If you have never taken the side road to St. Michaels and Bauline East from the Southern Shore Highway, I highly recommend it! The scenery is beautiful, and if you are in the mood, you can take a boat tour to the islands where you usually see whales and seabirds including puffins and bald eagles to name a few.

Citrus Park










Citrus Park

I spent 7 winters in Citrus Park (now Bonita Terra) and took photos nearly every day I was there. Since January 15, I have been sharing photos taken there each day over the years. Today, I am sharing photos from my February 17 Facebook Album.

During Covid travel bans, I shared these photos so people wouldn't miss their time in SW Florida. :)

Calgary Zoo - Prehistoric Park








Calgary Zoo - Prehistoric Park

The fourth section of the Calgary Zoo that I visited was Prehistoric Park where there are animated dinosaurs all along the trail. The tyrannosaurus rex show here is life-sized and it's an animal I wouldn't want to run into!!
