Last week I flew my drone over Rocky River in Colinet and, since it was very windy, it was a short flight. I was going to start a new album for the photos but, since there are less than 10, I decided to rename my Drone - St. Catherine's Album to Drone 14 - Avalon Peninsula and add the photos to that album.

Over the last month or so, I have photographed several old cars as I travelled around the province. I particularly liked the old police car and the green Chevelle convertible. I recently started a new Black and White album on Facebook and will be adding to it for a while. In the old days, I used to carry two camera bodies, one of them loaded with b & w film and I took many photos over the years. These days, I can create b & w images from my digital photos very easily using software. I have to admit that it is a lot easier than carrying extra equipment and film. :)

It was many years ago that my father suggested taking photos of garbage boxes. To be honest, I don't think I had ever stopped to photograph garbage boxes until then! However, now I find myself stopping more and more. It seems like people are becoming more creative with places to store their garbage and I have the photos to prove it. Many are colourful, some have been painted like paintings, and others are neglected.

I few years ago, I photographed an orange substance growing on a stum behind my house in Holyrood. I identified it as Witches Butter, a fungus that can be seen in the forest year-round. I photographed some in my yard yesterday.
