Venice - Boats

This morning, I started a NEW album featuring photos of Boats in Venice. I am starting with a few I took from my balcony as we entered Venice on our cruise ship. I enjoyed photographing the boats and people as we passed each other.

Maher's River










Maher's River

Holyrood has 3 main rivers that run through the community and I plan to photograph them from my drone.I photographed the North Arm River from its main source to the mouth of the river in North Arm. Yesterday I started at the Marina and followed the river as far as the IBEW building on Liam Hickey Drive. I will share these photos in an album on my Holyrood Page over the next few days.

Black-eyed Susans (Rudbeckia)










Black-eyed Susans (Rudbeckia) 

Last spring I purchased a black-eyed Susan (Rudbeckia) plant at a local nursery and planted it in my front flower garden. It grew well and produced many blooms late in the season. This year it has doubled in size and, once again, has produced many bright flowers for me to photograph.

Venice - Things










Venice - Things

While walking around the historic city of Venice, I photographed things that interested me, including items that were for sale by vendors along the streets. Glass items, mostly from nearby Murano, were on display in many places. Of course many more things were on display for sale and I will share the photos over the next few days.

North Arm River












North Arm River

After the 200 mm rain that fell over the weekend, the North Arm River in Holyrood turned into a raging river. When it cleared up yesterday, I decided to photograph part of the river from my drone. I launched it near the river and flew to where it enters the harbour, then turned around and followed the river upstream. As you can see, it is still pretty rough even 3 days after the storm. I am uploading the photos to my second North Arm River From the Air album and have provided links to both:

If you check bot albums, you will notice a huge difference in the amount of water flowing down the river.
