I made these photos of a peafowl at the Calgary Zoo in 2010 as I was walking through the exhibits.  It is such a beautiful bird and it posed for me for quite a while.

Peacock

Peacock

I have only seen peacocks in zoos and when I saw this one in the Calgary Zoo, I had to take several photos of it in full plumage.  I liked this series with the background filled with colourful feathers.

The male peacock is a very beautiful and photogenic bird!
